睪酮(Testosterone)又稱(chēng)睪丸素、睪丸酮、睪甾酮，是分泌到血液中的最重要的雄性激素之一，由孕烯醇酮合成，孕烯醇酮本身由膽固醇形成。睪酮由男性的睪丸或女性的卵巢分泌，腎上腺亦分泌少量睪酮，其具有維持肌肉強(qiáng)度及質(zhì)量、維持骨質(zhì)密度及強(qiáng)度、提神及提升體能等作用。在成人中，每天大約合成5毫克睪酮，并在血漿中循環(huán)，主要與蛋白質(zhì)結(jié)合，包括特異性激素結(jié)合球蛋白(SHBG)和非特異性蛋白質(zhì)如白蛋白。據(jù)報(bào)道，生物可利用的睪酮包括游離類(lèi)固醇和白蛋白結(jié)合類(lèi)固醇，它們約占總睪酮的35%。
